For the 5th straight year, Wekfest has held it’s international event in Nagoya, Japan. For what is more known as a U.S. based, automotive tour, the brand has been able to reach out to the far east and further spread the brand’s dynamics in foreign soil.

Similar to it’s U.S. counterpart, Wekfest Japan carries out a familiar setting. The main focus remains the cars, and the people behind them. The show itself attracts builders from across the country. Since the show is held on the Japanese holiday of Golden Week, (much like Spring Break in the states, but where most individuals outside working of retail is on vacation.) it is much favorable for those who like to participate both as an exhibitor or as a spectator.

The level of these builds are in my opinion, at an all time high, and it doesn’t seem to regress anytime soon. I have always encouraged variety, and there was definitely a wide selection of different builds and concepts to gawk over at this event.

Part one of this coverage will consist of the morning parts of the show. Official event coverage will follow in parts two and three.

The day started off as early at 4 a.m. One of the first builds I saw was Kazuki’s Aston Martin at the Autofashion USA booth. As some of you may remember, Kazuki built a pretty eye catching Testarossa last year.
